I.

“I don’t understand you.”

The phrase that says a lot.

It is the phrase that moves the world forward. Yet, it’s not answering the questions of the past.

Two shadows are distant to meet each other but so does the light.

“…”

So does start the story of love that never started, or did it?

It’s up to the reader to decide.

II.

Whether I like it or not, I have transferred from one school to another.

For some reason I had this special feeling of something great that was going to happen.

But that is it namely?

“It’s not for me to decide.”

I said.

So was my dream to never end. So was my entire life. So was everything around. So was the world.

“Let’s go to home together!”

“Sure.”

I wasn’t to understand anything. I was to fool around all the time.

I had no choice and no answer, I had no decision to make but only one person to follow.

Mainly because of this, everything happened…

III.

It’s morning. Six o’clock.

Well, I guess I’ll have to wait, or I can go to the school directly.

What’s that I did.

It was my first day in the new school.

I felt excitement from my dream and wanted to search for something very early.

But there was nothing on the way.

Thirty minutes earlier I have arrived at school.

Nobody except for some staff, weren’t at school. That’s the perfect time to fool around!

The school felt like an interesting place with many interesting places to be, but in the end I followed to my well-known empty class.

The class slept preparing the energy for pupils to study, and I was the one taking this energy only for myself.

I think this was the first success in my entire life because it felt so good that I wanted to feel it forever.

But soon my little world of success was interrupted by a sound. Someone was walking in the school.

The staff? Probably not.

I feel someone from my class.

The steps are closing and soon the door to paradise will be opened.

I close my eyes for a moment to prepare myself.

A figurine has stepped into the class leading after it a scent of darkness.

“Hi there! Didn’t sleep well?”

“Hi… Yes, I didn’t. What’s your name?”

“My name is very short and simple. It’s Abbey. What’s yours?”

“Mine is Alexander. Long and hard.”

“Pleased to meet you!”

IV.

It was that phrase after that I understood that I fell in love.

I’ve never fallen in love with someone before. This was the first time.

I was absent from the world being in the warm world of darkness.

The lessons flew like a second and I automatically followed the way to my home but someone called me.

“Let’s go to home together!”

The voice stunned me. It was that voice that spoke.

“Sure.”

It was so that the way to our homes was on the same way.

We were talking nonsense for the whole time until I heard this.

“Do you have someone?”

Although I really hadn’t anyone it was hard for me to answer directly.

“No…”

“Do you want to go out with me? I have so much to show to you!”

“Yeah… Sure… I don’t mind that.”

“When it is decided!”

We shook our hands in agreement.

“When, until tomorrow!”

“Goodbye to you.”

“Goodbye!”

I never was so happier in my whole life.

The city felt empty. I was the one in the centre of it. I was it’s heart and the blood flew through me.

For a long time I didn’t return home. I walked aimlessly here and there until I stopped on a bridge.

I looked down on the water and it felt so pure like it never was.

After a lot of daydreaming I finally walked home. It was evening already.

I’ve done my homework and was lying on the bed.

Minutes passed like seconds and only she was in my head.

Soon I realised that it’s already morning. 6 o’clock.

V.

Although I didn’t sleep I don’t feel uncomfortable.

Soon, I was on my legs preparing for the school.

After exiting the house I decided to hurry to her house.

She was already out waiting for me.

“You look like you haven’t slept. Do you feel alright?”

“Yeah…”

“Good for you to come, I have a little present for you!”

“…”

She held a screwdriver in her hand. A special multifunctional screwdriver.

“Thanks.”

“Now let’s go to school together!”

“Sure!”

We were walking to school together holding our hands. We were walking on a golden path made by trees for our liking.

The lessons flew away with ease and I kept thinking of the purpose of the screwdriver.

Evert variant led me to attaching and detaching screws but I felt the importance of this present. It was like a part of her soul.

And only her soul existed for me. And I wanted to be a part of it.

“The screwdriver you gave me… Does it have a special purpose?”

“Who knows… I haven’t yet used it in that way.”

“In that way..?”

“Detaching and attaching screws, of course!”

She burst out in a loud laugh.

“It will come in handy for your purposes!”

“My… Purposes..?”

“Yeah. I’ll show them to you soon!”

The other part of the lessons flew away and soon we were walking with her to her home.

We were holding each other by hands and chatting on some minor subjects. We were always able to find new subjects out of nowhere.

Soon we parted our ways and I went to the bridge.

There were lives now. A lot of them. Like it’s a middle of autumn.

And soon I though this. Why am I staying on this bridge? Because it’s the only one in the city? Or because it became a part of me?

I felt like I couldn’t answer this question, not yet.

With the new excitement I went home.

VI.

Months flew like days. The year have passed like a month.

We became so attached to each other so that there was no need for a screwdriver to attach us and now not a single screwdriver will detach us.

After passing final exams we both entered university. After that we got married.

Now we have a boy that is like a middle of our souls. We called him Claire.
